Frequently Asked Questions
Do you see children and adults?
Yes! Dr. Stokes is happy to treat children and adults. We do this because every patient is vulnerable to the most common oral health issues. We recommend patients see us at least twice a year for checkups and exams. Through regular checkups, we can offer truly preventive care that addresses the personal needs of our patients.
What advanced dental services do you offer?
Besides offering basic checkups and exams, Dr. Stokes also offers advanced restorative care. Some of our advanced services include periodontics, endodontics, and implant dentistry. Dr. Stokes partners with area specialists so that when you need advanced help, you can turn to the team you already know and trust for help.
Do you place and restore dental implants?
Yes, we do. Not every dental office places and restores dental implants, but at the Coit Road office of Dr. Stokes, we can complete both phases of care. In the first phase, we will insert one or more titanium implant posts into the jaw to replace your missing tooth root(s). Then, after the implant(s) has bonded with the jaw, we will attach your new restoration, completing your implant procedure.
What is take-home teeth whitening?
Take-home whitening is a cosmetic service that transforms how teeth look in a matter of days using a professional whitener and a set of custom-made whitening trays. To brighten your smile with take-home teeth whitening, you'll line your trays with the whitener we give you and then wear them for the prescribed amount of time daily. In seven to ten days, you'll see dazzling results.
Can you help me with dental anxiety?
Yes, we can. To help patients who struggle with anxiety, Dr. Stokes offers nitrous oxide. Dentists have been using nitrous oxide for a long time to ease feelings of stress. Nitrous oxide is breathed in through a mask and goes to work quickly. It also wears off quickly, allowing you to drive yourself home, to work, or wherever you need to go after your appointment is over.
Do you have other questions for us? We hope you'll give us a call. Our office is located on Coit Road in Plano and serves patients from all around the Dallas area.
